Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
One to three years of related mechanical experience and/or education
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and equipment manuals to execute proper work procedures.
Obtain training and certification for operating equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, cranes, rigging, and overhead cranes.
Perform welding on Stainless Steel and other metals using TIG, MIG, Arc, and Oxy-acetylene techniques.
Collaborate within a team-based environment.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, work areas, shops, vehicles, and storage areas.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly work in cold and wet environments
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
Stand for prolonged periods, generally not exceeding 10 hours daily
Objective of the Position: Maintain and repair all aspects of the packaging line, operate, and troubleshoot packaging machines.Maintain and repair all aspects of the packaging line, operate, and troubleshoot packaging machines.
Essential Functions:
Work with mechanical packaging and associated equipment.
Meet production quotas.
Request and monitor inventory to ensure proper parts supply.
Troubleshoot and repair air, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on packaging equipment.
Assist manager and other mechanics with plant projects.
Operate a forklift.
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including SOP’s, Employee Handbook, Food Safety and Quality Procedures, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP.
Perform other duties as assigned.
