Land Surveying Company seeks a Field Technician. This surveyor will work in the field and on company laptop on multiple types of surveying projects. Most work will be in the front range (Longmont to Colorado Springs) with some travel to job sites in other parts of the state. Prior experience in land surveying required. Applicant will be working with our senior Field Surveyor and additional on-the-job training will be provided.
Position is Full time but hours vary – some weeks may be 30 hours, others 50 or 60 hours. Factors like weather, work contracts and scheduling dictate how much time is required.
Pay is $25-$35 per hour depending on experience. During work-related travel, per diem expenses are paid. Paychecks are once per month.
Job Description and Responsibilities:

Land surveying experience required. Applicable experience in construction, engineering, CDOT or related field will be considered.
Minimum Education Level – High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Position includes use of company vehicles on jobs.
Must have good communication skills, be punctual and flexible with schedule.
Must be physically able to work outdoors for 8-12 hours, able to do physically demanding activities – hiking, standing, carrying survey equipment, driving stakes, working in heat, cold and all weather elements.
Motivated to do a thorough job and grow professionally.
Must have familiarity with using a computer and able to learn surveying technology and computer programs. Company will provide a laptop for the position.
We work statewide, and the applicant should be located in the Denver-metro area and able to travel within the state for 2-4 days at a time. Hotels, gas, use of company truck, per diem, etc. fully paid by employer during out-of-town work.
