Supervisor: Senior Pastor
Purpose: To communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ within our congregation, community, and the world through the production of high-quality video and graphics for print publication and social media.
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Starting Pay: $20-$25 per hour
Responsibilities:
Produce, film, stream, and post professional-quality videos of worship services to church’s YouTube channel.
Proof weekly worship slides created by other staff prior to worship.
Create high-quality graphics and images for print publications, church website, and social media.
Work with staff and lay leaders to create promotional videos for social media that tell the story and communicate the mission of Epiphany Lutheran Church and its special events.
Train and schedule video volunteers for Director’s absences.
Arrange maintenance and support for technology (e.g., cameras, TVs, etc.).
Recommend purchases for new and replacement audio/video equipment.
Perform other duties as mutually agreed upon.
Requirements:
Personal faith commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Member of a Bible-believing Christian Church.
Must be willing to affirm our Statement of Belief and Statements on Marriage & Sexuality and the Sanctity of Life.
Pass criminal background check in compliance with state and local laws.
Professional digital video editing experience (2-3 years preferred)
Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative suite (Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Recognized self-starter
Knows basic camera/shooting principles and techniques
Works well alone and in a team environment
Able to receive direction, critique, and feedback
Make use of various kinds of microphones and lighting
Stays up-to-date on innovative approaches and fresh methods for visual storytelling
Able to manage multiple projects
Knowledge of graphic design for social media, web, and other media
Experience creating motion graphics and animation is a plus.
