Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, nurturing, and dedicated individual to join our family as an In-Home Nanny for our son, Tucker, in Alachua, Florida. This position involves utilizing an educational program for Tucker, aged 6, followed by in-home childcare and various activities. The ideal candidate should possess high energy, a nurturing demeanor, and openness to alternative and holistic therapies.

Responsibilities:

Educational Program Utilization (2 hours): Utilize an educational program designed by Lindsey, focusing on learning activities and therapies. No special training is required, but enthusiasm and creativity are essential to make learning fun.

- Childcare: Provide in-home childcare for Tucker, including supervising playtime, engaging in outdoor activities, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

- Accompanying to Appointments and Activities: Assist in scheduling and accompanying Tucker to appointments, therapies, and extracurricular activities as needed.

- Co-op Play Dates: Facilitate playdates with other children in the neighborhood or within co-op groups to encourage social interaction and development.

- Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for Tucker, adhering to Lindsey's preference for wholesome food choices.

- Household Duties: Perform light housework tasks, such as children's laundry and dishes, to maintain cleanliness and organization within the home.

- Sibling Care: Occasionally pick up Tucker's older sister, Penelope, from school and provide care for both children, especially during the summer months.

- Outdoor Activities: Engage Tucker and Penelope in outdoor activities, including swimming, biking, walks/hikes, and other recreational pursuits.

- Behavioral Support: Assist Tucker in managing emotions and behaviors through play-based interventions and positive reinforcement techniques.

- Communication: Maintain open communication with Lindsey and provide daily updates via email or text regarding activities, progress, and any concerns.

Requirements:

- High energy and deep passion for working with children.

- Nurturing and compassionate demeanor with firm yet gentle discipline.

- Openness to alternative and holistic therapies for children's development.

- Strong family values.

- Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.

- CPR certification preferred.

- Successful completion of a background check.

- Willingness to participate in two interview rounds and a final meet-and-greet with Tucker and Penelope.

- Ability to develop creative and engaging activities independently.

Salary and Benefits:

- Salary based on 40 hours/week, with actual work time typically 30 hours/week.
