job detailsjob summary:Manufacturing Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to develop and implement continuous improvement within assigned area of production. To be considered - must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least two (2) years experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal). Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Must have at least two (2) years experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive or Assembly experience is ideal)
Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, Pareto and other tools
Ability to implement process improvements to operation
Preferred:
Six Sigma certification
PLC experience

Manage process-related tooling in preparation for each production run
Issue and revise drawing and process sheets as a result of continuous improvement in the process.
Develop and implement continuous improvement in capability and/or scrap reduction
Verify conformance of components to customer specifications
Analyse weekly production results, identify deficiencies and implement the necessary improvements
Work with operators to reduce defects, increase throughput and improve the products' dimensional capability
Train operators on how to safely and effectively operate plant equipment and machinery
