Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are on the search for a dedicated Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team located in the St. Paul area. This role revolves around overseeing the accounting, accounts payable, and payroll functions. As the Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be directly involved in managing the general ledger balances, monthly accounting close, and preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities: Direct and manage the daily operations of the General Accounting function, ensuring accurate processing, accrual, and payment of invoices, payroll, and related activities. Oversee accurate and timely month and year-end accounting closes, including daily status updates, preliminary estimates, and validation of the monthly financial reports. Collaborate with the Finance team to prepare monthly internal financial reporting packages, including key metrics and variance commentary. Foster an innovative and continuous improvement-focused environment by seeking out and encouraging ideas for process change. Lead special projects which provide analysis and support for developing ideas, programs, and projects. Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing supporting documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Analyze and evaluate current journal entry, month and year-end close, and other business processes, and recommend actions to streamline processes or improve operational efficiencies. Review work allocation, evaluate employee performance, recommend personnel actions, and motivate staff to achieve peak productivity and performance. Monitor the effectiveness of existing technology, including payroll and general ledger systems, for enhancement or improvement opportunities. Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation. One (1) year experience as a RN. Required Certifications and Licensures: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation. Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. Ability to travel to all business locations.
