About Us
Corporate & Museum Frame is seeking a Custom Framer. We have been in business for almost 50 years, we focus on historic and professional designs as well as preservation framing. We have cultivated relationships with every kind of client from major local and national corporate institutions, globally-recognized museums and galleries, to independent artists and collectors. Our shop is looking to hire someone who has an appreciation for anything from fine art to family photos.
Though therewill be aspects of retail involved, this is not a retail job. The responsibilities of this position will take shape based on the individual’s past experience, unique strengths, and the emergent needs of the business. We encourage cross-training in all the aspects of framing, but this is not a required part of the job description.
We have the privilege to work on countless fascinating jobs. A typical day might include archival mounting of a collection of antique family photos and learning about some local history, involve working in the wood shop using historical and modern techniques to create one-of-a-kind frames tailored to a specific artwork or stretching a rather large abstract painting that we package and ship to a gallery or buyer.
