Foundry Furnace Operator (Opelika Al.)
1. Operate and maintain melting furnaces.
Inspect and maintenance furnace daily prior to use.
Gather alloys required for melt.
Load and tend furnace during melting process
Take metal samples for analysis prior to pouring
Pour molds when metal pouring specifications are met.
2. Prepare and stage investment and sand molds for pouring process.
Prepare investment shells for burnout operation
Burnout investment shells and set pouring temperature
Place sand molds in pouring area and weight as required
3. Autoclave Operation
Prepare investment shells for autoclave
Operate autoclave to de-wax shell molds and move to stage location
