This is a seasonal opportunity with potential to make an annual income in 6 months or less.
We specialize in post natural disaster recovery efforts providing business continuity and logistics services for telecommunication and power utility companies after large power outages. We mainly respond to hurricanes and ice storm as these events cause the most outages. However we provide a multitude of services and may respond to other events as well, such as wildfires. Our main services are providing and connecting generators to cell towers for telecommunication clients and providing support yards and services for power utility clients. We maintain a large network of contractors that remain on call year round. We also have staging sites all over the country that allow us to quickly deploy crews, generators, and other equipment to affected areas. On the administrative side of things, we are facilitating everything thats happening in the field: contractor expense reimbursement, auditing contractor hours, app support, tracking personnel, tracking equipment, managing company credit cards, and ultimately preparing invoices for clients.
As far as time frame and duration, ice storms usually last a couple weeks and hurricanes a couple months. Because of the dynamic and time-sensitive nature of the work, your availability is critically important. When a storm is imminent we will contact you to arrange travel to the staging site.
