Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to contribute to the success of our manufacturing facility based in Bessemer. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and the chance to make a real impact to the Company.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED PRODUCTION MANAGER?
- Plans efficient use of labor and materials, including planning pre-fab workflow, purchasing inventory, performing cycle counts and monitoring waste control
- Ensures tools and equipment are secured, inventoried, and properly maintained within manufacturer's specifications and in compliance with Tuff Shed's safety requirements
- Ensures that sub-contractors are loaded safely in a timely manner and that all materials are provided and accurate for each job
- Periodically inspects completed buildings and provides feedback to production and sales personnel on job performance and quality issues
- Performs customer service duties, such as warranty/building repair and customer resolution
- Provides feedback to the General Manager concerning new ideas in production, fabrication, quality, organization, productivity, store cleanliness and customer service
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to operate standard construction equipment, such as power and pneumatic tools, as well as measuring devices.
- Experience managing a team and meeting operational targets; also preferred, experience with sub-contractors
- Inventory and fleet management experience preferred
- Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bi-lingual (Spanish / English) skills preferred
