Description: In this role, you will be part of the GAAL System Performance team and will be expected to work in a team environment to achieve the objectives - exceed the HQ KPI targets, winning Root and other benchmarking metrics, and maintaining network superiority. You will be part of the GAAL SP market team responsible for C-Band deployment and optimizing GAAL C-Band networks. Lead the implementation of deployment of C-Band and new features and trials, analyze pre/post KPI's of the network through upgrades and network capacity adds. Perform end-to-end troubleshooting efforts to determine which network components/elements would create the issues in the events of network KPI degradations. Ensure that GAAL market maintains its network performance superiority and reliability, collaborate with other teams to ensure prompt trouble identification and resolution and establish performance standards and tracking for the IP core network and RAN Network. Develop and implement processes to manage the overall diagnostics and trouble resolution/escalation for the regional network-related services. These networks include 5G, LTE/VoLTE, CDMA, and EVDO.

Support the GAAL submarket in identifying and deploying RAN features that would improve the network performance and the customer experience.
Work with Performance Engineers and collaborate with RF Engineers, Network Assurance Engineers, and HQ teams to identify and correct potential issues that could negatively impact our Network KPIs.
Interface with regional network teams, Centralized teams, HQ teams, and equipment vendors for the purpose of operations support and root cause analysis.
Monitor and analyze call trending data to ensure service levels are met and maintained.
Initiate and manage new processes to improve RAN performance & quality.
Identify and recommend network changes to improve service quality including antenna modifications, system parameter adjustments, and software changes.
Work closely with other disciplines within the region utilizing strong communication skills to articulate priorities relating to the 5G/LTE network's performance.
Partner with RF Engineering to help drive best-in-class RF network design to achieve the performance objectives.
Continue to provide the best network in the industry as measured by RootMetrics and other benchmarking metrics.
Work with Customer Service & the NRB to provide timely analysis and resolution of customer tickets.
Maintain a strong relationship with the Sales organization supporting them as necessary to establish and maintain confidence in Network superiority.
Work with other internal departments to set policies and procedures to enhance trouble resolution time. Work closely with Operations/Network Assurance to quickly resolve network-impacting issues.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25% or less.
A valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with one of the major RAN equipment vendors - Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
Solid RF Design/Optimization experience.
Working knowledge in 5G, either in RF Design or System Performance.
A strong working knowledge of LTE and VoLTE Platforms.
Working knowledge of Ericsson systems including ENM, ENM scripting, and 3GPP standards.
Knowledge of System Performance tools like Airwave, RTT, xLPT, Truecall, VSON.
Knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as DMAT, Irisview, Accurver, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
Working knowledge of CDMA voice and data wireless infrastructure.
Understand the concepts of propagation modeling, data analysis, MIMO, higher-order modulation, SINR, PIM, etc.
General knowledge of digital communications including Ethernet backhaul, Fiber, FTTC, and microwave.
Understanding of RF engineering concepts and principles, including antenna and RF theory; propagation modeling.
Understanding of core network including but not limited to PDSN, CSR router, WDN router, Aggregate Router, CSCF, PCRF, AAA, HSS, MME, SGW, PGW, IMS, 7750 and Cisco 9K, 10K & 1K routers.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to support night or weekend work as needed.
A team player with strong written and oral communication skills.
