We have a shift available:
1st - 7-4:30 (M-T) 7-3:30 F Some Saturdays (half days)
Overtime hours currently due to new tools and programming
What's a typical day as a CNC Machine Operator II? You'll be:
The Machinist trains to operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders). The Machinist's primary responsibilities will be to set up machines, check products and keep production items running through the machine areas with quantity and quality acceptable to company standards. May also perform additional responsibilities, including, but not limited to, cell support, finishing, and polishing.
Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in CNC operations preferred
Computer skills required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
Forklift Experience
Responsibilities
1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members
Responsible for cleanliness of the assigned work area as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Change inserts, touch off tools, load new fixtures and pull up programs, inspect parts, make changes and write basic programs
Blueprint reading, understanding symbols, and interpreting complex drawings
Creating and modifying G-code and operation of CNC equipment and manual machines
Demonstrate quality craftsmanship, with a desire to produce the best quality components possible
CAM programming preferred
CNC Machining of complex and high precision parts in metal and plastic
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is frequently required to talk and hear and occasionally reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and determine and distinguish color.
Position Requirements
Some physical requirements are standing, walking, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching, and sitting.
Must meet and adhere to physical requirements and wear the appropriate PPE (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and mask).
Will be required to work in the following conditions: heat, cold, noise, and vibration.
Must be able to work in dust and fumes.
Must have the ability to operate a forklift or overhead crane.
Will be required to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
