The Boeing Research and Technology Product Standards Office team is seeking a Mid-Level Engineering Technical Specialist to support our team in Huntsville, Alabama, in a virtual capacity.

This Level 3 position will require strong technical collaboration with the Boeing Engineering community, representatives from other Boeing functions, and the external standards community for the development and configuration management of data related to Boeing Product Standards and external (government and industry) standards. It will also require effective communication and computing tool use for the management of this data. The associated statement of work for this position has enterprise-wide impact.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs integration of Enterprise Standards System tools, processes, and standards, including product standards and external (government and industry) standards
  • Provides configuration management; coordinates changes; and collects and disseminates enterprise-wide data
  • Identifies and manages risks, issues, and opportunities; develops and implementing training; and coordinate standards changes
  • Supports Boeing standards strategies by developing and implementing data, performance metrics, and organizational guidance; assisting company leadership decision-making; and participation in strategy-focused standards development
  • Assists with the development and implementation of standards at an enterprise level for the entire product life cycle
  • Assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity
  • Collects engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs


This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Huntsville, Alabama.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with engineering, production and/or regulatory organizations


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with configuration management (CM) tools and processes
  • Experience implementing cross-functional/organizational processes
  • Experience in project leadership roles
  • Experience in technical writing


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.

Summary pay range: $62,370-$115,830
