Role Description: The Database Administrator must have at least 6+ years of direct experience in administering Microsoft SQL DB Servers. For this role, you must be an Enterprise IT Systems SQL DBA/ SQL Query Writer.
The Enterprise Information Technology (IT) SQL Database Administrator will join a diverse and highly skilled team. You will provide IT database support managing several manufacturing databases in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
Education Requirement:
- High School or equivalent. (Required)
- 6+ years of direct experience in administering Microsoft SQL DB Servers.
Required Skills:
The Enterprise IT Systems SQL DBA / SQL Query Writer must have the following skills:
- Ability to deliver complex SQL queries including nesting, recursive and branching design from concept to production with the following elements: concept, requirements, design, writing, testing, detailed documenting within the statements and reference documentation, release to production.
- History of the designing, documenting and delivering in-house custom developed solutions combined with supplier provided solutions within a structured SDLC model.
- Direct experience with MS SQL Database Administration and Analysis tools (e.g., MS SQL Server, SSMS, etc.).
- Experience using functions incumbent of SQL Database Administrator such as backup restorations, failovers within SQL Always-On AG environment, SQL DB analysis, maintenance, tuning, optimization efforts, etc.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- Understanding DB Architecture designs and methodology towards implementation within virtualization technologies i.e., VMWare, SAN, etc.
- Understanding and designing complex DB structures within Microsoft SQL stack (Build, HA/Failover Clustering, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing systems including the following:
o PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
o MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
o ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Should be familiar with and able to implement security technical implementation guidance and benchmark checklists as applicable to supported databases.
- Familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework, FIPS, FISMA, and CMMC is highly desired.
- Business continuity and disaster recovery knowledge/experience is a plus.
- A customer service mentality and ability to function in a fast-paced, continuously changing, people-oriented environment is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience
