The only way that we can tackle these challenges is by recruiting the brightest minds in the industry to join our team.Kord Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of KBR, is currently seeking aMissile Defense Failure Analysis Engineer/AnalystFormulates the plans necessary to effectively evaluate the health of existing missile defense systems. Identifies appropriate sample populations for destructive and non-destructive testing and manages tests. Applies statistical processes to the evaluation of test results, including Regression Analysis, Analysis of Variance, and the appropriate probability distribution. Ensures maintenance records accurately identify the work unit code (WUC) and malfunction effect codes for each maintenance event. Maintains data systems used for evaluating the performance and reliability of missile defense systems.

Identifies specific problem areas, determines the impact of those problems, develops proposed solutions, and formulates cost and schedule estimates for implementing the solution. Exercises excellent technical writing skills and proficiency in Excel to produce backup documents for findings. Employs knowledge of life-cycle engineering and its effect on system readiness and exercises a strong understanding of the principles involved in assessing the Reliability and Maintainability performance of a system. Makes informed decisions based on an in depth analysis of raw data and technical reports.

RequiredBS in mathematics, reliability, or related field, or an ABET accredited BS in engineering

Knowledge of reliability prediction (using RELEX Software Package), Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACASKnowledge of one or more software reliability modelsAbility to obtain and maintain security clearance

Desired:MS in related field

Experience in Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Programs

Knowledge of reliability modeling tools and experience in performing life and repair data analyses based on field date
