This position directly supports development of a variety of EMS space and weapon system products.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide systems engineering support to the development of small satellites, projectiles, missiles, and sensor systems.
Collaborate daily with GA engineering teams and program/project management.
Employ solid communication skills with and between task leads, functional managers, and program management to facilitate rapid resolution of technical and program issues.
Provide systems engineering support for: development and management of design requirements, Concept of Operations definition, functional decomposition, verification plans, system architectures, interface definitions, design reviews, risk management, subcontractor statements of work, integrated master schedules, etc.
Produce systems engineering documentation and digital products.
Make technical presentations during working groups, peer reviews, or to customers as required.
Support development, review, and editing of technical documents, digital products, and proposals as required.
Perform other duties as assigned required.

Typically requires a bachelors degree or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution, plus two or more years of experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Systems engineering skills should include definition and development of technical requirements; requirements verification and validation, including analyses and testing; risk management, including risk identification and mitigation planning; development of Concepts of Operation.
Success in this position requires consistent application of the following key abilities:

Must be able to collaborate effectively as part of a team, as well as accomplish tasks independently with minimal direct supervision.
Must have strong interpersonal, communication, computer, and presentation skills.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools such as MagicDraw is highly desired.
Experience using DOORS or Jama requirements management tools is desirable.
Able to work extended hours as required.
Travel expectation: 10-20%.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
