REQUIREMENTS
Class A CDL is a MUST. 1 year of verifiable experience in the past 3 years or 5 years in the past 10
Minimum 5 years verifiable Management skills in the transportation industry
Independent and Proactive mindset
Computer literate with preferred experience in Microsoft Office, ELD and Safety Programs
Clean MVR with no major violations
COMMUNICATION
Must be a team player with impeccable communication skills
Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers,
executives and clients
DUTIES
Lead, direct and manage a logistics operation to ensure that the staff executes on delivering consistent high quality level service and customer satisfaction; and achieves a profitable, cost efficient operations in compliance with company policies and procedures
Ensure safety methods, practices and programs are implemented and maintained
Ability to handle unforeseen circumstances
Maintain performance statistics and ensure accurate record keeping of all operational documents
Work with senior management to develop a business plan and goals for department
Utilize effective communication or negotiation skills, employing diplomacy and sensitivity to resolve critical or escalated issues affecting the customer, staff, or senior management
Train and certify new employees on all performance standards
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of work and education; or an equivalent combination of work experience
