Position Description



The Alabama Department of Mental Health has an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a MS Microsoft Dynamics CRM Developer. The ideal candidate will be local and work at our offices in downtown Montgomery. This position requires Microsoft Dynamics design, development, implementation and deployment experience in delivering enterprise level solutions, as well as the ability to develop software based on the description of business logic for new and existing applications. The CRM Developer responsibilities include participating in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems. This position develops, maintains, supports, and improves the organization's mission-critical CRM and Business Intelligence applications. This individual will apply proven communications, problem-solving, and technical skills to assist the development team on issues related to design, development, and support of business-critical information and software systems. Develop, configure, and support custom work on top of a CRM based application Develop on MS Dynamics CRM 2013 on premise with growth to Dynamics 365 Create and modify custom Forms/Entities, web resources, plug-ins, workflows, dialogs, reports Create technical specifications and unit test plans based on mockups Deploy fully functional components/forms/reports/applications Contribute to the design, development, and installation of application enhancements and upgrades. Maintain systems by debugging and correcting software defects Work with company's vendors and internal staff for prompt resolution of any problems or emergencies Work closely with other staff, such as project managers, database admins, infrastructure admins, developers, systems analysts, and business analysts SSIS (nice to have) Power BI Dashboards (nice to have) Design, develop, test and implement reports as necessary to fulfill business requirements Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables in accordance with due dates and project requirements Ability to construct reusable reports based on common reporting requests using available tools Create and modify reports and report templates using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Advanced understanding of relational databases, (MS SQL, SSRS) and advanced querying techniques o Research required data and data relationships o Extract, filter, and aggregate data through logical queries and programming Develop MS-SQL objects (tables, stored procedures, functions, views, etc.) Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and outside vendors Support user testing, documentation, and roll-out of reports and end-user reporting tools Troubleshoot issues reported by users to correct report defects / anomalies Maintain a high level of confidentiality and use discretion when needed Solve problems and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and to be diplomatic when reviewing work of others Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers, managers and supervisors, customers/clients, and members of the public






Skills Required



Strong knowledge of and experience with SSRS reporting tools and databases specifically MS SQL server required, knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Access Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Effective business writing and composition skills with good command of the English language. Ability to independently plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives and time frames Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management skills Minimum 3 years of experience as a SQL Report Server Developer using SSRS reporting tools Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming Expert knowledge designing and deploying SSRS Reports in Visual Studio






Skills Preferred



Experience in .Net Programming (C# and/or VB.net) Experience in Microsoft CRM 2013 Experience with Microsoft Power BI

3+ years developing in MS CRM 2013/2015/2016/D365

Education Required



Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information management, statistics or other quantitative field, or three years of experience, or equivalency in terms of education, training, and experience
