POSITION TITLE:Laboratory Supervisor

FACILITY: Kilby Correctional Facility

LOCATION: Montgomery, AL

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7AM to 3PM

REQUIREMENTS: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification/degree required, MUST qualify as CLIA Supervisor

SALARY: Hourly non-exempt, $28.00 and up with experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid in physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states, in accordance with departmental policies and professional standards.
• Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing
• Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Assists with daily operations in the central testing lab.
• Monitors programs that ensure data accuracy
• Direct daily activities of laboratory staff
• Ensure compliance with appropriate CLIA/state requirements for clinical laboratories

CERTIFICATION:Current CPR certification

EDUCATION:Medical Laboratory Technologist(MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification/degree required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:5 years laboratory experience;minimum 2 years as laboratory supervisor
