Description:
Seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud.
The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and the ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient.
The Systems Engineer position will work closely with the Infrastructure Services Section to provide configuration and support, technical expertise, and administration of Azure and On-Prem Active Directory services and servers.
Knowledge of additional tools and services, such as IIS, SCOM, PowerShell scripting, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential.
Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and Azure certification AZ103/104 is required.
Skills required: Senior Systems Administrator shall provide the following deliverables per the direction of and assignment by the Agency Project Sponsor and/or the Manager:
Install new and rebuild existing servers.
Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
Upgrade and configure system software and hardware components as needed.
Assist in the formation and maintenance of system standards.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Administer, manage and maintain Group Policy in a Windows Server environment for a large number of users.
Review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
Maintain Microsoft Azure resources, user access, services, and virtual machines.
Configure system properties and resources in order to accommodate needs.
Maintain and support hardware and software systems for a large number of users.
Monitor and report system hardware and software performance, and make recommendations and changes to improve performance as needed.
Work closely with the infrastructure personnel, DBAs, Developers, Project Manager(s), and Help Desk Specialists to address system and infrastructure concerns in multiple areas.
Contribute to implementation project to rollout modules in a timely manner consistent with the program roadmap.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience.
