Highway Specialties, Inc. is now hiring guardrail installers. We are located in the Florida Panhandle and do work throughout the states of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Travel is an absolute requirement for this position. Lodging will be provided while out of town. We prefer that applicants have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no tickets, wrecks, or suspensions in the past four years). You must have your own, reliable transportation. This position is physically demanding with considerable time spent standing, walking, bending and lifting (up to 50lbs). Applicants must be conditioned to working in all weather conditions and safely outdoors in potential high speed environments in the presence of heavy machinery. Applicants must be capable of maintaining constant awareness of their surroundings as safety is our top priority. Shifts vary between day and night but are more often during daytime hours than not. Work is typically Monday through Friday but we sometimes work weekends or mobilize on Sundays for out of town work. Applicants must be prepared to work a flexible schedule.
This position has a minimum pay rate of $13.00 per hour but you may be eligible for more, depending on experience. Class A CDL drivers are eligible for considerably more. Position has the opportunity for advancement and career development. Guardrail supervisors can make up to 50-75k annually. Employees are entitled to time and a half (overtime pay) after working 40 hours per week. Health/Dental/Vision/Life benefits are available after a 90 day probation period.
