Be active in service activities for the School, College and University at a level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.Ad Text:The Culverhouse School of Accountancy in the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Associate Professor position holding the S. Paul Garner—David H. Hitt Endowed Chair of Accountancy. Primary duties include teaching accounting at the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, working with doctoral students, and performing service as assigned and as appropriate for the level of appointment. The position will start August 16, 2020.Required Qualifications: Experienced candidates who have completed their PhD with proven research and teaching excellence. Research should include a focus on behavioral financial accounting research and a strong, established record of success publishing in top-tier journals and with a significant pipeline indicating continued success in the future. Candidate’s record should be commensurate with appointment as an associate professor and endowed chair of accounting at a state flagship university.Preferred Qualifications: Candidates who have expertise in analytics and/or with a record of externally-funded research are strongly encouraged to apply.
