Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. Position may also supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects.Additional Department Summary: The "School Improvement Grant" (SIG) evaluation project is in place to assess and evaluate the progress and outcomes from nine Alabama schools’ improvement plans. Reporting to the Program Manager, the position of project coordinator will administratively support and advance the data-driven initiative, to include providing input for processes, creating reports, and communicating with school sites, Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) representatives, and UA SIG team members. The coordinator will develop materials for networking/public relations and will conduct training or technical support for stakeholders. This individual will serve as the point person to lead and coordinate outreach and engagement opportunities with the nine schools participating in the ALSDE School Improvement Grant, Cohort 3, with the purpose of ensuring compliance to the SIG requirements set forth by the ALSDE. Additionally, responsibilities will include supervision of research assistants, traveling to school sites throughout Alabama, and assisting the UA SIG team with data collection.Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience to include some experience in an educational evaluation setting.Preferred Qualifications: Some Research Study ExperienceBackground Investigation Statement: Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
