Roy Briley Property Management is seeking a strong Property Accountant to join a growing company on a permanent full-time basis. This organization has a portfolio of mixed use properties with a strong specialty within residential real estate. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 3 years of residential experience and the ability to learn our software system. The Property Accountant is responsible for preparing, processing, reviewing and evaluating the financial transactions concerning properties. The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy of all financial data related to those properties and to recommend actions which will enhance the financial performance of the properties.
Other responsibilities include:
- Review each property's monthly financial statements for accuracy prior to the month end closing.
- Process property accounts payable, including: setting up new vendors, entering invoices, mailing checks.
- Collect all rent payments, make deposits regarding rent collections and any other miscellaneous income.
- Track and process security deposits/refunds.
- Review and update contractor liability insurance, reconcile vendor statements.
3-5 years of accounting experience is required. A degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is preferred.
Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm - Pay DOE
