Cannabis is seeking an accounting professional to oversee financial and budgetary operations. Partial, temporary remote accommodations for COVID, but chosen candidate will be required to report to work full time onsite in Anchorage. The company has multiply locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain thorough knowledge of state and federal Cannabis finance regulation

Oversee billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting

Develop, implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate to ensure financial and regulatory compliance

Dedicated focus on driving operations through finance

Identify financial opportunities, roadblocks, risks and analyze impact on future business

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends

Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the owners as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges

Develop a reliable cash management and flow projection process and reporting mechanism

Plan, oversee and ensure adherence to department budget

Develop, track and manage finance department goals and success metrics

Provide company and department direction through modeling and financial analysis

Engage key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and processes

Work closely with the Owners who over see Operations and Strategic Goals.

Supervise direct reports of at least one current full charge bookkeeper.

Retail accounting experience with multiply locations prefered.

Education and experience requirements:

Degree in accounting, finance or related field required

CPA or CMA preferred

5+ years accounting and finance experience required

Experience in the cannabis preferred

Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred

Excellent oral and written communications

Experience in monthly financial reporting, accounting processes, audits, and budget tracking

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, understanding of US GAAP

Strong business analytic skills - ability to enter, manipulate and synthesize large amounts of data

Excellent accounting software and administration skills

Proficient with all Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

General comfort with technology and working in multiple software systems

Must submit to a full criminal background and credit check
