Purpose of the Role:
A tax preparer that also assists with BOSS services while maintaining a high level of customer service for clients of the Firm.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and ensure assigned tax returns are tracked and filed correctly
- Communicate and manage deadlines with assigned clients
- Assist with reviews or compilations as needed or assigned
- Complete 1099s as assigned
- Potentially assist with bookkeeping or payroll as needed
- Update notes and information on project boards and cards as needed
- Continue education and maintain knowledge on the latest software, technologies, and tax laws
- Other duties as assigned
Academic, Certifications, & Trade Qualifications:
Highschool graduate or GED required
College degree or degree seeking in Accounting preferred
Work Experience, Skills & Strengths:
2 years of office, accounting, and customer service experience preferred
Ability to learn new software
Ability to write professional emails
Good Customer service skills
Payroll software and bookkeeping experience preferred
Microsoft Office experience preferred
