Position Title: Controller
Department: Administration
FLSA Status: Full Time Exempt
Compensation: Based on Experience
Multi-unit national franchise is in search of self -directed and experienced Controller to oversee all financial and accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, and financial reporting. You will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. Responsibilities and Duties
Provide operations support
Monitor the financial performance of the company
Compile and analyze financial reporting packages for bank loans and Lines of Credit
Assist in preparing monthly and annual operating budgets
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the companys procedures
Communicate financial metrics to senior management
Provide leadership and training to accounts payable and payroll
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal
controls
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline OR minimum of 2 years accounting
experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least 2 years experience in human
resources
Working knowledge of GAAP
Strong understanding of bank processes and reporting
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
Strong impersonal and communications skills
High level of technical proficiency
Excellent accounting software installation, setup, user and administrative skills
Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
Proven payroll experience with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
