We have two positions available, one is for a teacher in a classroom of 8 infants and toddlers also staffed with another teacher and a classroom aide. This center is in Wasilla at are newly built Early Head Start Center.
The other position provides early childhood development and family services through home visits. Weekly home visits are done for a caseload of 11 families located in Palmer/Sutton.
Infant/Toddler Teacher - Wasilla - Create a successful environment that will promote the growth and development of infants and toddlers integrating educational goals and developmentally appropriate practices into the classroom.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
⢠Infant and Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. However an Associate's degree in a job related field is preferred.
⢠Knowledge of early childhood development for children aged birth through age 3;
⢠Knowledge and experience in principles of child health, safety, and nutrition as well as adult learning and family dynamics
HOME VISITOR - Sutton/Palmer - Through home visits and bi-weekly center socializations, create a successful environment that promotes the growth and development of infants and toddlers integrating educational goals and developmentally appropriate practices into services. Provide information, resources and referrals to families to assist them in achieving their goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
⢠Two years job related experience
⢠Early Childhood (or related field) Associate's degree or Home Based (CDA) credential
⢠Knowledge of early childhood development (birth through age 3);
⢠Knowledge and experience in principles of child health, safety, and nutrition as well as adult learning and family dynamics
⢠Knowledge of family issues and resources available to families
⢠Flexible schedule to include some evenings and weekends to coordinate with the families' availability and facilitate both parents involvement in the home visit.
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR BOTH POSITIONS
Location: Early Head Start Program, 2060 E Foundry Way, Wasilla
Supervisor: Center Coordinator, Patrick Cockrell
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/wk), full-year (49 weeks/yr)
Salary: $15-$19 per hour DOE and education (CDA or degree)
