Established engineering and construction management firm is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer/Inspector for various construction assignments throughout Alaska on a part-time basis. This position will serve as a representative of the project owner(s) to ensure the projects are built in accordance with the approved design and all applicable standards, codes, regulations, permit requirements and best practices. Duties include daily inspections of all work throughout the design and construction phases of the projects.
Minimum requirements include:
20 years prior experience in construction or facility management, construction supervision, construction management and quality control (OR 10 years of experience with engineering registration);
Experience with building and mechanical trades and construction safety, hands-on experience in inspecting facilities and construction for compliance with contract requirements;
Experience with Federal and/or State Agency design-build or design-bid-build contracts preferably in the state of Alaska;
Good oral and written communication skills and computer skills;
Ability to obtain Government security clearance.
