Electrical Engineer Position Opening
Kinney Engineering, LLC is seeking a motivated professional electrical engineer registered in Alaska who can build our Electrical Engineering Department and expand our electrical engineering services into new markets and sectors while supporting our core disciplines in design and construction projects. We encourage innovation and using technology to creatively find solutions to interesting problems, and the successful candidate for this position will share these values. The position is full time (40 hours per week), permanent with benefits. However, applicants interested in part time (30 hours per week), permanent work are also encouraged to apply.
Kinney Engineering, LLC is a multi-discipline consulting firm with offices in Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks, and Juneau, Alaska. With more than 35 employees and growing, Kinney Engineering provides a large range of services to a variety of clients throughout the state of Alaska. Our areas of expertise include: Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, GIS, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Planning, Traffic Signal Design, Roadway and Pedestrian Lighting; Roadway Design, Transit Facilities, Project Management, NEPA Documentation and Permitting, and Utility Design.
Candidates shall have, within three months of hire, a State of Alaska Electrical Professional Engineer license. Other requirements include: good oral and written communication skills; ability to complete tasks resourcefully and on-time; working knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UL; proficient in MS Office Word and Excel; and experience with, or the ability to learn industry design and analysis software and AutoCAD. Prior marketing and business development experience is desired, but not necessary, as we will train you in these skills.
