ASCI is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill a California based Project Engineer role. This position will report to ASCI's General Manager and provide direct support to our client's Nanushuk project in Alaska. This role is anticipated to be necessary through December 2023 and will be initially based in the WorleyParsons office in Monrovia, California. Occasional and/or extended travelling may be required to engineering contractors offices (locations TBD). During fabrication and construction phases, location may change to a fabrication yard (most likely domestic) and eventually the Anchorage, Alaska office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support definition of technical scope and execution plan for decision support package.
Support the team in the coordination of design activities assuring the quality and the timely execution of
activities performed both by the internal and the contractors teams.
Ensure appropriate planning, budgeting and monitoring of WBS and deliverables, schedule, cost and
integration of the work among the different disciplines.
Ensure the application to the project design of all the applicable norms, local rules, company standards,
international best practices and project specifications.
Review contractors design, estimates, tender packages.
Prepare scope of works and other technical documents, procedures, notes, reports, and decision support
package documentation.
Ensure overall quality and integration of project BOD.
Ensure identification, consolidation and communication of interface points, base project data and
requirements.
Play a key project team integrator role; identify and highlight to the Project / discipline Manager any
deviations from the agreed project premises or principles.
Recommend and advise project team on best engineering design.
Support definition of technical scope for RFQs.
Accountable for the management and delivery of a significant project object or equipment package.
Participate in process safety management activities, including hazard identification and HAZOP activities.
Participate in peer reviews and value assurance activities and support the internal process of project
authorization.
Provide engineering support to fabrication and construction during project execution phase.
Coordinate responses to technical audits; HAZOP findings; specifications deviations; fabrication/construction
site technical queries.
Participate in planning for commissioning & start-up.
Provide technical, ethical, professional leadership, support and mentoring to colleagues.
Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in a supervisory / managerial role. Proven management and staff leadership skills.
Experience working on Alaska North Slope projects preferred.
Valid Drivers License with a clean driving history
