The Engineering and Operations Senior Manager, is responsible for the strategic management and oversight of one or more major technical areas or sections within the business unit of Engineering .and.amp; Operations. Senior Managers lead and direct the staff related activities including process and procedure improvement, performance reviews, daily oversight, and skill development of the Business Services staff, which includes Managers, technical Administrators, Technicians, Engineers, contractors, etc. Senior Managers develop processes and procedures for all levels of staffand.nbsp; They are responsible to coordinate activities, assign projects and monitor results for professional and support staff. Oversee, review and provide final engineering design specifications, implementation support, operational analysis, configuration, management, troubleshooting, systems administration and performance tuning of various technologies such as video, voice systems, networking, transport, system support and wireless technologiesand.nbsp; Develops and executes management policiesand.nbsp; Assures work performed follows general stated objectives and completed on time and within budget. The Engineering .and.amp; Operations Senior Manager must be knowledgeable and have the ability to support one or more areas within the business group Engineering .and.amp; Operations, focus of specific duties will be determined at time of hireand.nbsp; Focus include but are not limited to: System Operations, Network Operations, Project Engineering, Service Management, Cybersecurity Operations, Data Center Services, Applications Services, Project ManagementEssential Duties of Position: Management of GCI Business Technical Account; Provide and/or approve final engineering design and implementation packages necessary to supply GCI Business product services. Responsible for managing teams in the analysis, design, and implementation of technology services across all company business lines.Leadership: Manage and oversee Team of technology professionals: Set the tone and develop and implement a training plan to address the technical requirements of the team members. Develop organizational and individual goals and implement an action plan to achieve them. Provide timely annual performance reviews to all direct reports and ensure that all employees within the department receive annual performance reviews on time. Responsible for team results and recommends and /or approves promotions, demotions, transfers or disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Responsible for leading, developing, and managing the performance of those reporting to this position; establishes and communicates clear performance expectations; and makes recommendations for salary increasesand.nbsp; Responsible for results.Aid in design and implement solutions of new services enhancing existing technology products managed or implemented by GCI Business Engineering and Operations. Knowledge of one or more Telco Information System, Services, Video and Networking platforms. Stay current with developing IP technology and share information on technological advances.Complex project management to include oversight of new systems planning and implementation of GCI Business Engineering and Operations. Liaise with external contractors, external vendors, GCI core engineering and operations groups, GCI network administrators and GCI executive management. Finalize documentation and support materials for assigned technology systems and infrastructure. Participate with defining and monitoring metrics to assess performance and systems capacity requirements.Budget: Responsible of project budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources.
