Summary

Delivers and supervises the delivery of consulting services to clients to help them achieve IT-related solutions to business goals. Contributes to the specialty by leading the development of methodologies, identifying and assisting in qualifying sales opportunities, and participating directly in the sales process or developing solutions. Can be instrumental in closing and delivering the largest of engagements. Works closely with client CIO, CFO, and CEO.

Responsibilities

Act as key contact point for client in multiple or large engagement sites

Create solutions to the client’s complex business and technical issues

Coach other consultants

Improve client relationships to encourage client retention and generation of new business

Take a lead role in the development of practice and company service capabilities

Take a lead role in increasing company’s sales at client site and at other sites

Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Duties

Participate in developing engagement objectives and take a lead role in communicating engagement objectives internally and to the client to include both overall engagement goals and specific consultant objectives

Complete assigned functions as stated in engagement proposals or statements of work

Submit internal and external status reports

Ensure status reports identify, analyze, and suggest solutions to client issues

Develop project plans for large projects; review and advise on others project plans

Monitor project plans and other tools to ensure engagement is on track

Meet utilization goals

Coach others on how to publish articles in the specialty

Develop specialty collateral, and/or supervise the contributions of others

Develop training materials, and/or supervise the contributions of others

Develop methodologies and recommend tools and techniques that lead to practice sales

Revise and improve methodologies based on engagement results

Provide consulting and project management advice to other consultants

Assist in developing specialty business plan, and developing and implementing sales campaigns

Participate in specialty territory and account planning in cooperation with the sales team

Participate in identifying, qualifying, developing solutions, and closing sales opportunities

Participate in sales lead referral program

Take a lead role in development of engagement proposals

Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum of seven years of experience in a consulting practice, or a minimum of 15 years of experience in a technology, industry, or application with a focus on business/technology alignment

Expertise in at least one specialty service line

Expertise in consulting process

Expertise in any tools required for consulting and sales services

Expertise in negotiation skills

Expertise in project management or recognized industry leader in at least one specialty service line

Working knowledge of all cross specialty service lines
