Description:Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager - Long Term Care (Nursing Administration) to Providence Extended Care in Anchorage, Alaska. This is full-time day shift.We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.In this position you will:
Provide visionary leadership and help every team member to understand and achieve the resident-directed care model in the cottage setting.
Facilitate/participate in the annual development and implementation of the facility QI plan, addressing all aspects of clinical and business objectives and strategic plan.
Develop, implement, evaluate and modify services to meet resident centered care and staff development needs.
Maintain and/or enhance the self-esteem of others through listening and responding with empathy and clear transmission of information.
Be responsible for compliance with CDC and OSHA Standards and coordinate staff education related to infection control practices.
Work collaboratively with Environmental Services and other departments to maintain a safe environment for each resident.
Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Alaska Registered Nurse license
2 years of recent clinical supervisory experience
Experience/expertise in gerontological nursing
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Alaska Driver’s License
Experience in nursing management in long-term care
