Mid shift and part time evening shifts available
Looking for a experienced barista that can work in a fast pace environment alone and with a team. The airport is a very busy location especially in the summers. Must be a team place and make good drinks! Also, you need to be willing to serve pretzels, inventory, and clean.
The Barista is responsible for fulfilling orders and completing sales transactions within a Denali Pretzels establishment and performing other support functions which may include cleaning the food preparation, stock areas and maintaining inventory; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
You will be working with customers ordering a variety of products including pretzels, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and Kaladi Brothers coffee.
Potential to make alot of extra cash in tips/gratuities will be available at the highest traffic area in Alaska with over 14,000 employees and 5.7 million passengers yearly.
Essential functions:
Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about products and looks for opportunity to “up-sell” products
Prepares all drink orders to Kaladi Brothers standards
Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required
Cleans and stocks customer area
Follows Denali Pretzels operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
1 year minimum barista experience Kaladi Brother's preferred!
Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
Requires the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Denali Pretzels, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and Kaladi Brothers products and procedures
Some cash handling and customer service experience preferred
High school graduation (or equivalent) and at least two years of directly related food preparation experience. Candidates must have the ability to handle multiple tasks occurring at the same time.
A current “Food Handler’s Card”, reliable transportation, well groomed appearance and good hygiene
Pass TSA background and screening requirements to obtain necessary security clearances; adhere to all TSA and airport requirements for concession employees.
Might have multiple opportunities for part time and full time employment
