Alaska Occupational Audiology & Health Services, Inc. is a hearing conservation service provider that has been in business in Anchorage and throughout Alaska for over 20 years providing on-site hearing testing and related services for employers throughout Alaska and on occasion travel to Seattle. AOAHS is seeking an independent and outgoing person to perform on-site hearing testing and training for our clients. Enjoy a positive and purposeful environment with an opportunity to travel within Alaska. We are looking for an Audiometric Technician to join our team in January 2022.

Audiometric testing services are offered to customers at times and shifts that they need. This position may require a very early morning starts or working late into the evening. There is occasional weekend work as well. Schedule varies with customer needs.

Primarily, audiometric technicians will work in mobile testing units, although office tasks are also needed. Driving of a 24ft truck is typical (CDL not required). Travel is required approximately 30% of the time including local overnight assignments as well as trips of up to one or less frequently, two weeks.

Certification by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) is a requirement of this position, but is not needed to apply. Training and certification will be provided.

Applicants should enjoy and be comfortable with travel and working independently.

Must be punctual and dependable with excellent customer service skills.

A clean driving record is required

Must be able to pick up and carry approximately 50 pound portable equipment bag

Pre-employment and random drug testing are required.

Computer knowledge in Word & Excel is required.

Attention to detail is a must

Bilingual in English and Spanish/Tagalog is also a plus.

If hired, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed. Must be willing to observe local and rural COVID-19 masking, social distancing, and testing requirements which may vary by community

This position is full-time with benefits to include Medical, Dental and 401(k). There is also a potential for travel bonuses when overnighting in a city to provide our clients services.

Salary is DOE.
