At PET Emergency Treatment, in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality 24-hour emergency service to our community and we are currently looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our team. At PET, we encourage our staff to progress clinically and professionally through continual education and training while working directly with a team of exceptional Veterinarians.

Additionally, we are centrally located in Anchorage near miles of beautiful hiking trails, excellent fishing spots, nearby ski resorts and a variety of unique wildlife, to name a few things that make Alaska so special. These qualities coupled with breathtaking scenery makes Alaska a prime destination for anyone who loves nature.

Qualifications: Certified Veterinary Technician in Alaska (or eligible) with a minimum one-year experience (emergency experience preferred, but not required). The ability to function in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.

Job duties include, but are not limited to; emergency nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending doctor's orders, triage of patients, calculation and administration of medications, in-house lab work sampling and analysis, catheter placement, monitoring and managing patients' comfort, and updating clients on their pet's progress (surgery and anesthesia experience preferred).
