DESCRIPTION: Reception Specialist, OPA/Anchorage, Full-Time

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a highly skilled, dedicated and professional Reception Specialist to join our rapidly growing and dynamic Anchorage Therapy Services team. This collaborative position works closely with pre-certification specialists, clinicians, and benefits providers, and includes typical reception responsibilities.CLICK HERE to apply for this position!

Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00am–4:30pm

Representative duties

Providing outstanding customer service to all patients

Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations

Educate patients on insurance coverage limits and options

Work closely with the billing and other departments providing services

Schedule appointments, answer phones, data entry

Collect deposits and co-pays

Knowledge and skill requirements

Knowledge of primary and secondary coordination of benefits

Familiar with CPT and ICD-10

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Keen organization skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required qualifications

Six (6) months of customer service, preferably in the medical industry

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred (in addition to required) qualifications

One (1) year medical office experience

Knowledge of insurance and billing
