Technician Assistant: Do you love animals and love their people? Are you interested in veterinary medicine or science related fields? Do you desire to become part of a highly skilled medical team? College Village Animal Clinic is hiring a full time veterinary technician assistant. We are looking for dependable, professional and caring team members who can multi-task and take pride in the work they do.
This position is entry level and requires an enthusiastic self-motivated individual who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and can demonstrate an above average attention to detail. It would be ideal for a person wishing to get their foot in the door in veterinary medicine. If you have a flexible schedule and have an interest in veterinary medicine or any other medical field, this position would provide considerable exposure to the daily activities of a small animal hospital. Daily priorities include general janitorial, cleaning & laundry, assisting technicians with restraint of animals for blood draws or anesthetic induction, preparing laboratory samples, walking and feeding animals, cleaning & preparation of sterile surgery packs, stocking supplies & retail items and occasional office work. The right applicant must be able to work as a team member and as an individual, must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, follow written and verbal directions, use cleaning products safely and love to clean!

This is a long term position with possibility to advance for the right person. We offer a competitive salary DOE with benefits. Non-smoking Office, Clinic operates Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 7:00pm with varying schedules and with alternating Saturdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Most critical "skills" are your enthusiasm, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
