Facility Maintenance
Maintenance/Custodian
Location: Varies
Status: Full-Time Non exempt
Wage: $16.00 per hour
Primary Duties required for this position:
Facilities/Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing various areas of our Buildings and grounds which includes drywall & painting, carpentry etc. The person will also assist in the building electrical/plumbing repairs and other general maintenance issues. This position is accountable for clear, timely communication and ensuring the highest safety practices during the miscellaneous projects, as well as the preventative and continued maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily tasks as assigned by supervisor
Weekly visual building and equipment inspections
Attend monthly safety meetings
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Knowledge and the Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing,
and drywall/carpentry issues as well as parking lot and grounds maintenance
Effective communication skills
Proficiently read, write, and comprehend English
Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Good Driving Record
Ability to coordinate with contractors and management when necessary
Ability to pass DOT Physical
Required to travel to various work sites.
Requires prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping.
Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and lift, push and pull 75lbs
Must be able to clear Background and Drug Screening.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
At least three (3) or more yearsexperience in Commercial Maintenance and
at least one (1) year generalmaintenance experience.
Other duties may include some custodial work:
Facilities
gather and empty trash
clean restrooms
vacuum
use carpet extractor machine and buff floor
Grounds Keeping:
Winter Duties - Snow removal and ice melt sidewalks
Summer Duties - Mowing lawns, hedging and landscaping,
painting curbs, sidewalk and pothole repair, washing windows.
