APYS has one Field Route Driver/Laborer position open to service our customers within the Municipality of Anchorage.
This position is great for people who enjoy general labor outdoor type work and don't mind picking up after dogs. However, please understand that this is not like picking up after your own dog. This job is similar to the type of labor associated with landscaping/lawn maintenance. Being in good physical condition is important to do this type of work as a job!
The position requires that you have a vehicle that can regularly be relied upon to use for work Monday through Friday. Winter tires are required.
Probationary period is approximately 30 days. During the probationary period compensation is $14 per hour. After the probationary period, compensation is paid by the job. Our Field Route Drivers typically average between $17-$21/hr! (depending on the individuals pace, physical condition and familiarity of the routes).
In addition to the compensation above, we pay 54 cents per mile while providing to services to our customers.
What's a typical day? Generally speaking, you will get a daily route of customers that you will access through a company provided iPad, you will start from your home each day, drive to the house, give Buddy a belly rub (if hes outside), walk the yard, clean-up Buddy's canine treasures, double bag it, put it in their trash can and drive on to the next house.
