Vibrant Leader for a Clean, Safe and Vital Downtown.

Anchorage Downtown Partnership (ADP) seeks an Executive Director who can successfully support and grow the organization's operations, fulfill ADP's strategic priorities, and promote and advocate for a clean, safe and vital downtown of Alaska's largest, most diverse city.

The Executive Director is the internal driver and external face of the organization, providing leadership of Anchorage Downtown Partnership, staying focused on ADP's core purpose of a clean, safe and vital downtown, and overseeing its day-to-day affairs.

Anchorage Downtown Partnership serves property owners, and local businesses through innovative programs and community events that make downtown Anchorage an exciting and inviting place to work and visit. The Executive Director oversees our safety and maintenance ambassadors, just two of ADP's programs to keep downtown clean and safe. And they oversee a series of exciting events that bring families to the downtown core.

The ideal candidate has the ability to lead a dedicated staff committed to ADP's mission and the communication skills to build strong relationships with our downtown business members.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Advise and support the Board of Directors and its committees, as well as report to the Board on the financial condition and progress of the organization.

• Oversee the finances and ensure fiscal responsibility and security.

• Provide visionary and strategic leadership and translate that vision into measurable strategies and concrete actions that advance the mission.

• Working with staff, ensure programs and services are appropriate and consistent with organizational priorities and mission.

• Promote competency, quality, and the highest ethical standards throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate has experience in the nonprofit sector and demonstrates a commitment to high professional ethical standards and brings a variety of experiences and attributes to the organization, including: positive internal and external relationships, effective communication and diplomacy, financial and business acumen, image building and marketing, and an appreciation for and cultural fit with a diverse Alaskan community.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A strong financial understanding and management of multiple and interrelated budgets and programs with experience in oversight of a comparably sized budget.

• A team-building, empowering leadership style with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal (staff and Board) and external stakeholders.

• Excellent management skills, open to direction and a collaborative work style.

• A professional and approachable style, possessing a spirit of warmth, humility, and emotional intelligence.

Salary range: $88,000- $115,000 annually DOE. ADP offers competitive benefits.
