Partners for Progress, a Social Justice Non-Profit, is recruiting for a full time Front Desk Position.

JOB TITLE: Supportive Services Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Partners Reentry Center Director

SUPERVISES: n/a

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SALARY: Hourly/DOE

HOURS: Full Time, M-F 40 hrs/week; 8:45am “ 4:45pm

LOCATION: 417 Barrow St.

The person at the front desk of Partners Reentry Center (Center) holds a key position as part of the small team that operates a busy prisoner reentry program in downtown Anchorage. Often the Center is visited by over 50 people a day, many of whom are just released from prison. Team members support each other with the goal of providing each participant reentry assistance appropriate to individual situations, needs and abilities. This is accomplished in a manner that is welcoming and mutually respectful. There will be some opportunity for cross-training and special projects, but at least three-quarters of the duties will be front desk related. At the Center warm and efficient front-desk operation is an important and valued skill.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES

1. Greet all participants entering Partners Reentry Center with calmness and compassion

2. Ensure correct electronic login

3. Assist participants in filling out all required applications and forms

4. Schedule participants for Intake Interviews with Case Coordinators using an Electronic Calendar System

5. Distribute financial services such as bus passes and clothing vouchers

6. Maintain inventory logs of supportive services by service item and serial number, obtain signatures for all bus passes and vouchers from participants

7. Reconcile Supportive Service Logs each month and submit to Accounting for Reporting

8. Document all services distributed in database and record in a timely manner for monthly reporting

9. Provide backup for Job Lab, Employment and Training, and Case Management Services

10. Provide administrative assistance to Center staff

11. Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and similar events on Partners for Progress electronic organizational calendar system

12. Manage mail and filing for the Center

13. Maintain office supplies for the Center

14. Answer phones and direct calls.

15. Ensure all volunteers record their hours in Volunteer Binders

16. Receive and record all donations for the Center, provide donors a Donation Form. Submit copies to Administration with monthly reporting

17. Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2 Year degree in related field and 2 Years relevant experience

2. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the equivalent ability to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered

3. Excellent people skills including ability to maintain professional boundaries. Must be able to maintain composure in a sometimes stressful and fast paced work environment

4. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment

5. Ability to manage work time efficiently and effectively and meet deadlines

6. Punctuality

7. Good writing and communication skills

8. Intermediate knowledge and ability with Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, Access, various email programs and Google docs and filing systems

9. Personal and interpersonal qualities that support the core values and mission of Partners for Progress

10. All Partners for Progress employees must maintain an appropriate standard of dress and personal appearance at work and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times both within the workplace and when representing the Company

11. Ability to pass a criminal background check or qualify for a variance
