Dental Coding and Billing Specialist is needed for Fast paced Dental Office.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of two years medical/dental coding and billing work experience and/or certification is preferred.
Required Skills:
ICD 10
Use of appropriate modifiers
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Work Comp, VA billing
Attention to detail, commitment to quality
Self-organized
Courteously answers patient phone inquiries, outstanding interpersonal skills
Positive attitude, teachable and respectful, team player
Duties include but are not limited to:
Coding and billing daily office visits and procedures
Making sure that all demographic information and insurance information are correct and updated before submitting claims
Preparing electronic/paper claims for submission
Reviewing and processing claim denials
Resubmitting corrected claims
Following up outstanding claims
Monitoring and keeping current all account receivables including insurance payments and patient co-payments
Position is part time for now
