Our employee-owned company is seeking another motivated, entry-level, self-starter to join our wholesale warehouse team of our employee-owned company.
Job purpose
To facilitate all functions pertaining to the warehouse operations. Assumes additional responsibilities as determined by the Warehouse Operations Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for housekeeping duties in wholesale warehouse complex, including sweeping, cleaning, replenishing supplies as needed.
Assists warehouse staff as needed, including organizing and rotating stock. Assists with inventory.
Segregates and breaks down pallets as needed.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
May assist in pulling and staging orders.
Assist in loading orders for customers on personal vehicles.
Loads and unloads freight. May operate a forklift and other related warehouse equipment. In-house certification required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must have reliable transportation.
Minimum six months experience in a fast-paced large-scale warehouse environment.
Forklift experience is appreciated. Forklift certification is mandatory following training.
Must be organized and able to prioritize work. Good aptitude in working with numbers is helpful.
Strong customer service skills are essential.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to safely and frequently lift and/or move up to 50-70 pounds.
Job requires heavy physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, and squatting.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to safely use hands and arms in reaching and moving materials and products.
Must be able to drive a forklift throughout the day.
Working Relationship
Works closely with warehouse personnel and wholesale office staff. This position requires a high level of motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment . The successful candidate will have a positive, professional, safe attitude at all times.
