Arctic Harvest Deliveries is a small local produce & meat distribution company. We are a values driven business whose goal is to create new sales avenues for our local farmers and ranchers. We achieve this by building relationships and creating opportunities for both our producers and our customers. We operate as a wholesale distributor to the food service industry as well as through a subscription produce box program for household level consumers.

We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated and dedicated employee to join our team as a part-time sales & marketing coordinator for the summer season. We need someone who can commit to working at least the whole summer season, May 20th “ November 1st (dates slightly flexible). The position does also have the potential to continue into the winter at reduced hours. This is primarily a work from home position, but will require daily communication and weekly in person meetings.

The ideal candidate would have a background in sales and/or marketing as well as some experience working in either the food service or agriculture industries. You must be a people person with excellent communication skills and experience using social media. Being a very small business, we expect all of our employees to be flexible and able to jump in on other projects as needed. This position may also require once a week help packing and/or delivering our subscription produce boxes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Create and execute a social media plan

Send weekly order guides and marketing emails

Take customer orders three days a week “ via phone, text or email

Recruit new customers (commission included)

Potentially help packing and delivering produce boxes

Requirements:

Great customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Solid social media skills and experience with email-based marketing

Some knowledge of local food, sustainable agriculture, and/or how to identify, eat and cook fresh produce

Valid drivers license and good driving record

High school degree

Schedule:

This is a seasonal position running from approximately May 20th thru November 1st, with the potential to continue with reduced hours through the winter. Position is a minimum of 20 hours per week. Hours are slightly flexible and can be somewhat tailored, but tentative schedule is Monday “ Thursday, noon “ 5pm. Most of this time can be working from home but will require at minimum 1 in person meeting a week.

Pay starts at $16/hr. DOE, plus 5% ongoing sales commissions for new customers and a bonus for completing the season (through November 1st).
