JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Service Desk Technician
Department: Administration Information Technology (IT)
Reports To: Service Desk Supervisor
Supervises: None
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: C3
Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
General Functions:
The Service Desk Technician provides Level 1 and Level 2 support. Service Desk needs include phone support, handling minor triage issues with basic troubleshooting, and escalating all other issues to the Network Engineer or Systems Administrator. Responsibilities include maintaining, developing, and supporting personal computers, servers, local and wide area network, software, and data communications technologies throughout the company and field offices, to maximize company-wide productivity and minimize system downtime. Performs service desk duties and installs hardware and software.
Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Assist Service Desk by performing the following tasks:
Configure, install and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers
Configure, install and troubleshoot network printers
Provide telephone and remote control support
Provide on-site and off-site user assistance and troubleshooting
Provide support for Windows O/S, Mac OS, iOS, Office Suite, Remote Users/VPN.
Provide trainings to customers.
Maintain operations and confidentiality according to policies and procedures.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and communicate with team members on status of issues.
Document of trouble calls/issues using the Service Desk ticketing software.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities Related to Patient Privacy:
The incumbent is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with CITCs privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with CITCs policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or membership or association with CITC.
The incumbent may access protected health information and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete all assigned job duties. The incumbent may only share such information in his/her possession with those who have a need to know specific patient information y in order to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other CITC operations.
The incumbent is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding CITCs policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to the designated Privacy Officer.
The incumbent is expected to actively participate in CITC privacy training and is required to communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in accordance with CITC policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Alaska Drivers License and be insurable under CITCs automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age.
Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory report from a state and federal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
General office technologies experience.
Preferred MOS, MCSE, A+, ACMT, MCP certifications.
Experience with smart phone devices.
