Located in the Interior of Alaska, Nyac Mine is a bulk mineable placer gold deposit currently being developed and mined. The mine is privately owned and operates from May to October. We are looking for an experienced Field Mechanic for our remote mine site located in Nyac, Alaska.

Remote camp; round trip airfare provided from Anchorage, Alaska

The work week is 12 hours a day x 7 days per week, which provides 44 hours of Overtime per week
Physical demands indoor and outdoor work environment; walking on uneven gravelly, muddy, rocky and vegetation covered ground; Lifting; Climbing; Operating vehicles and mining equipment; Use of hand tools
MSHA 5000-23 Surface Metal/Non-metal certification (if a successful candidate does not have current certification, mandatory required training will be provided at the job site)
Knowledge Requirements:
Skilled trouble shooter
Engines, gas and diesel
Transmissions and rear drive axles, brakes both air and hydraulic
Large tires
Hydraulics
Electrical and ECMs and computers
All service, glass, tires, lube
Welding and fabrication
Equipment: Cat, Hitachi, Hyundai, Daewoo, and Volvo
Pay is based on experience.
