Valdez Outfitters is looking for a Halibut/Salmon captain to join our team for July and Maybe August. The captain will be fishing for halibut, rockfish and silver salmon. This can be a fun fast action fishery.

Minimum Qualifications:
USCG OUPV License
First Aid/CPR Certification
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure boat is ready to fish daily
Get bait daily
Have necessary tackle prepared
Interact professionally with 4-5 guests per trip
Assist guests with identifying a hooked fish, reeling technique and landing
Able to differentiate Coho (Silver) Salmon from Pink Salmon and King Salmon.
Accurately log catches in and maintain ADFG Logbook
Hang fish for guests and assist with picture taking
Keep boat organized and tidy throughout day, including spraying down deck as needed to help prevent slips
