Remodeling contractor is looking to expand our team. We are searching for a carpenter/handyman who is able to handle everything from small jobs to being part of the crew to complete larger ones. Applicants must be skilled at a range of "carpentry related trades", such as: trim and door installation, have experience installing cabinets, framing, fence repair, and be able to do simple electrical and light plumbing work (light fixtures, setting toilets, plumbing sinks, etc). Experience installing tile, painting, and drywall finishing is a plus, but not a hard requirement.
When the job calls for it you will be expected to perform any and all tasks required to get the job done, these could include: cleaning up, masking, expediting, hanging sheetrock, framing, painting, demo, etc.
Requirements:
Must be motivated / Self Starter
Punctual
Valid Alaska drivers license
Presentable appearance and ability to communicate well (will be dealing directly with the clients at times)
Reliable transportation
Smart mobile phone (time in and out is tracked on a mobile app)
Must be able to work with others and take direction
This is a new permanent full time position, all season long. Pay will depend on experience, but we are targeting $18.50 - $22.50 / Hr.
